Kane stars as Bayern Munich ease through alongside Barcelona and Inter Milan

Harry Kane scored one and assisted the other as Bayern Munich completed a convincing aggregate win over Bayer Leverkusen tonight with a 2-0 win at the BayArena.
Trailing 3-0 from the first leg last week, it needed something special from Xabi Alonso’s men to see them through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
But it never looked likely as the away side dominated from the outset.
Kane saw an early shout for a penalty waved away before Michael Olise flashed a shot just wide.
Kane scores in moment to forget for Schick
England captain Kane did find the target seven minutes into the second half, however. Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick missed his kick and Kane did the rest, bringing it under control before firing past Lukas Hradecky.

Schick fluffed his lines at the other end after 68 minutes, heading straight at Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig from close range.
And the Czech international was made to pay as, four minutes later, a brilliant pass from Kane picked out Alphonso Davies and he made no mistake with a superb finish.
Jamal Musiala twice hit the post late on as Bayern threatened to run riot but it mattered little as Vincent Kompany’s men eased through 5-0 on aggregate.
No drama for Inter
Bayern will face Inter Milan next after the Italian side completed a 4-1 aggregate victory over Feyenoord with a 2-1 win at San Siro.
Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu scored for Inter, the latter from the penalty spot, either side of a Jakub Moder spot-kick.
In the early kick-off, Barcelona produced a polished display to see off Benfica 3-1, 4-1 on aggregate.
Raphinha scored twice for Barca with Lamine Yamal adding another.
Nicolas Otamendi had earlier given Benfica brief hope by cancelling out Raphinha’s opener.
