Vinicius Jr wants to stay at Real Madrid with ‘legends’ of the club

Vinicius Jr says he wants to ‘go down in the history’ of Real Madrid and stay for many more years after recently passing the 300 appearance mark for the Spanish giants.
The Brazil forward has continually been linked with a move to the Saudi Premier League but is under contract until 2027 and is reportedly in talks to extend his stay in Spain.
He has scored 18 times this season and will hope to help Real past city rivals Atletico in the last 16 of the Champions League this week.

He said: “I am very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and I hope I can renew it as soon as possible because I am happy here. Everyone loves me and likes me very much. I couldn’t be in a better place than here.
“I am here to continue the story, everything that the president and the club have given me. I hope I can continue scoring more goals and playing more games with this shirt.
“I have won, but I can win much more and I can go down in the history of this club with so many great players who are legends.
“A derby is a game that you wait for all season. And even more so in the Champions League. I am excited to be able to play a great game like this. Tomorrow it will be a great party for our fans and in the return leg it will be theirs.”
Vinicius has scored in two Champions League final wins for Real and has won 10 major honours with the club since signing in 2018.

He says people forget he is still young and he is finding his best form as we enter the final stages of the season.
He said: “Right now I am in my best form. I have had injuries. With so many games you cannot be 100% in all of them. Playing 80 games you cannot always be at your best.
“The decisive moment of the season has arrived and at Madrid we are playing better at this stage of the season.
“I’ve been here a long time, but people forget that I’m 24 years old and I still have a lot to learn and I’m going to keep learning until the end of my career.”
